Design leadership & AI-enabled transformation

Attila Ando — Experience Design Lead & Strategist in Dubai. I work across product strategy, design leadership and organizational transformation, with a growing focus on AI-enabled products, workflows and customer experiences.

Who I am

I work across banking, fintech, security, and enterprise — complex, regulated environments where trust and clarity matter as much as speed.
My work starts before the screens. I help teams understand the right problem, align early, and connect design decisions to real business outcomes. The job isn’t to make things look right. It’s to make sure the right things get built, and that they hold up as they scale.
That’s where I’m at my best — helping design become something the organization relies on, not something it calls at the end.

What I do

I work where complexity, business goals, and delivery reality collide. My job is to make the right problem visible — then make the right decision easy.

Design Leadership

Design creates real value when the organisation is built for it. I shape how design works — who owns what, how decisions get made, how teams collaborate — so the work moves from execution to outcomes.

AI-driven Design Operations

AI adoption is easy. AI transformation isn’t. I build the operating model around AI — discovery, documentation, governance — so the gains become a capability the organisation keeps, not experiments that fade.

UX Strategy

Direction before execution. I turn ambiguity into a clear path: a sharp problem, measurable success, alignment across Product, Engineering, and business. So teams decide better, and earlier, when it still costs less to decide.

Product Design

End-to-end design in banking, fintech, and security — environments where structure matters as much as the interface. From the first definition of a flow to execution that scales.

Design Systems

Systems that scale quality, not just consistency. Modular foundations that cut front-end effort, strengthen engineering collaboration, and let products grow without losing coherence.

How I Work

The thread through all of it is the same: align teams around the right problems, improve how they work together, and connect design to outcomes the business and the customer can feel.
Whether I’m leading discovery, shaping direction, or rebuilding how design operates, the goal doesn’t change — better decisions, made earlier, delivered more consistently.
Build design into the operating model

I work on how design functions inside the organisation, not just inside projects. Better workflows, clearer governance, sharper decisions. Less friction, less rework, stronger products.

Shape product and design direction

I help teams see what problem is worth solving before the solutions start. Through discovery, research, and alignment, I create clarity on priorities and risk, so investment goes to the right outcomes.

Create alignment across functions

Complex products need decisions that balance customer needs, business goals, technical limits, and regulation. I bring those views into one room and help teams move forward with confidence.

Scale quality through systems

I build the foundations that let quality scale: discovery frameworks, design systems, accessibility, and measurement that hold up across teams and over time.

My Impact

And it shows up where it counts — in cost, speed, adoption, and how well products scale.

40%

Product delivery cost reduction

Less waste, rework, and friction across workflows. Estimated value: $75K–$400K.

35%

User adoption growth

Improved usability, clarity, and engagement across digital experiences, with annual business upside of $150K–$800K.

40%

Design process efficiency improvement

Introduced more structured workflows across discovery and design execution, creating value of $52.5K–$175K / squad in recovered capacity.

50%

Reduction in task completion time

Improved workflow speed and reduced operational friction in complex systems, generating an estimated annual productivity value of $25K–$120K+ / squad.

40%

Reduction in front-end development effort

Built modular systems that improved implementation efficiency and consistency, with an estimated value of $40K–$160K.

What People Say

"Attila is extremely knowledgeable and his negotiation skills, both within the team and with external stakeholders, are truly impressive. He is very open to feedback and easily adapts to shifting requirements or standards. He’s a great team player who isn’t afraid to engage in discussions beyond his own domain."

Mate Szabo

AI Specialist, Analyst, Generalist

"I had the pleasure of working with Attila. He has a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge, he knows how to apply it to real-world problems and deliver effective solutions. He can also clearly explain his work - even to those with less experience in UX design - and make you understand his proposition."

Case Studies

Building more than a design team

Building the foundations of a scalable design organisation — team structure, hiring, quality practices, and design’s seat in roadmap decisions. Grew the function 4x, with 33% faster delivery readiness and 35% of bugs caught before QA.

Onboarding for a chat application

A 0→1 onboarding flow for a privacy-first chat app, where security, permissions, and localisation all pulled against speed. Architecture-led design held them together — 98% completion, 95% activation.

Building design into the product lifecycle

Repositioning design from a delivery function to a strategic partner in the product lifecycle — a discovery-led operating model that gave design a role before execution, not after. −30% delivery cost, +35% efficiency.
